Biography:
Nunzio Abbate received the Electronics Engineering degree in 1995. He worked in Fiat Auto from 1996 to 1999 on automotive factory automation engineering. He managed the Orange Picking Robot project for CRAM, (completed in the 2003) and collaborates with the University of Catania, Engineering Department. From 2000 to 2004 he managed the STMicroelectronics CMG-MCD ST5 Product Engineering team. From 2005 to 2012 he manages the STMicroelectronics ART Automation Robotics and Transportation Team (within the ST System Lab) and now is the General Manager of the whole System Lab. His research activity has also produced more than twenty scientific papers.
